SOUVENIR, CRAFT & GIFT SHOP IN ANTIGONISH

Located in the center of Antigonish, the Highland Heart of Nova Scotia, this little gift, souvenir and craft shop has grown to be a regular stop for local shoppers and visitors alike.

Shopkeeper Heather Scott originally came to the area to attend St. Francis Xavier University in the early 1980’s and along with her husband Shaun raised a family of six children here. Upon retirement, Heather decided to invest in the community that she loved and that had been so welcoming to her and in 2017 opened the shop on Main Street in Antigonish. Happenstance was originally a resale clothing store and since that time has grown and expanded to become many shops within one!

At Happenstance, you can find a wide selection of East Coast Souvenirs along with a variety of Scottish and Celtic items in our gift shop including local products and books, souvenirs, jewelry, tartans, Harris Tweed, and AVON items. As in the beginning, we offer “Happy Chance Finds for the Whole Family” in the “new to you” clothing and small household goods resale shop which is adjacent to the gift shop on the same Location in the center of town!
